Hay Fever
Hay fever is an allergic characterized by irritation of the nose accompanied by lots of sneezing, catarrh, watery eyes and other symptoms. The allergic reaction is caused by flower pollen carried by the wind. During the flowering season the allergic symptoms worsen.
Home Remedies For Hay Fever
• Prior to the start of the hay fever season, everyday eat two tablespoons of natural honey. This could have a significant impact on your condition.
• To ease breathing difficulties it is a good idea on the acupressure point known as “Large intestine 4”.
Use the thumb and the index finger of your right hand to press on the tissue between the thumb and index finger of your left hand. After a few seconds, change hands. Repeat this process a few times. Important! This treatment id dangerous for pregnant women!
• Stuffed nose – cook grapefruit, lemon or orange peel, including the pith in honey water, occasionally stirring, until the peel becomes spongy. Don’t cook it for too long unless you fell like having candied peel.
During the hay fever season, eat a piece of peel the instant the first symptoms appear and another piece before going to sleep.
The materials in the peel are anti-inflammatory and assist in drying out the mucus membrane.
• Take two nettle (Urtica Dioica) capsules once every 15 minutes during an attack. As soon as the attack has passed, make sure to take the capsules four times a day as a preventative measure.
