Anemia
Anemia is a reduction in the number of red blood cells, in the Hematocrit count (the volume of red blood cells after the blood has passed through a centrifuge) and the amount of hemoglobin in the blood. The hemoglobin is the substance within the red blood cells that contains iron, which carries oxygen from the lungs to the tissues.
