Edema
Previously known as hydropsy, edema is an abnormally large amount of fluid that is accumulated just right under the skin. A person with edema will look swollen particularly to the affected part of the body. This medical condition may be an underlying symptom of a much serious disease. This can also be experienced by pregnant women from which they will quickly lose as soon as they have gone into labor.
Home remedies for Edema
• Boil strands of corn fiber (available from stores or you can remove it from fresh corn on the cob bought from the market still in its leaves) in two glasses of water. Drink all throughout the day.
• Soak your body in a solution that consists of apple cider vinegar and warm water. This can immediately reduce the inflammation.
• Spread warm mustard oil on the concerned area while gently massaging it.
• Make sure you do not eat salty, oily, and chemically induced foods. Eat a balanced diet rich in fiber and protein.
• Great for edema on the face, apply flax seed oil on the area.
• Put some cucumber slices over the affected area to reduce the swelling.
